A new Southbound Express Lane access point at Boggs Road.
Ever since the I-85 Express Lanes opened, commuters have complained about a lack of southbound access points near the start of the corridor in Northern Gwinnett County. Today, things got a little better for drivers who once found themselves traveling up to eight miles to access the lane. Over the weekend, G-DOT crews created a new, temporary access point at Boggs Road, just south of the State Road 120 overpass. The State Tollway Authority is also in the process of implementing a plan to create a permanent lane.
