Joe Seidel brings a love of music into the lives of children at First Montessori of Atlanta.
"I knew by the time I was in the fifth grade that I wanted to be a musician," said Joe Seidel in a recent interview.
"I just had a passion for it. I don't think it was as a teacher. I just loved playing. I love performing," he said.
It's that love of music that Joe Seidel enthusiastically passes along to the students of First Monessori of Atlanta.
"He fully integrates his classical training, along with his love and passion in to everything he does to help with the well-rounded development of each child," said Jerri King, Head of School.
His approach to music is steeped in the Montessori method,
"We start off with something that is very concrete, something that is in your body and we move to something abstract," he said.
"it's so much easier to learn things in a short period of time," said Gavin, one of Seidel's students. "Because the time is limited, but the learning is unlimited."
"Not only do we learn music," added another student, "But, I also used to be the most impatient person in the world, but he's (Seidel) really helped me with that.
"His impact on the student of First Montessori, it's deep and it's rich and he's a Class Act," said King.
