(WXIA) -- Eddie Murphy is not dead.
Friday, the Twitterverse spiked with reports that actor Eddie Murphy had died.
Apparently the reports were triggered by MediaFetcher.com, who has been caught spinning false death reports before, from Jon Bon Jovi to Charlie Sheen and Will Smith, among others.
Murphy's next film project is the comedy-drama A Thousand Words, set to open in theaters on April 20.
