Atlanta-- Atlanta rapper, Slim Dunkin, was shot and killed Friday evening after an argument with an unknown male.
The shooting occurred at a recording studio located in the 1000 block of Memorial Drive in southeast Atlanta. According to Atlanta Police Major Keith Meadows, Dunkin, whose real name is Mario Hamilton, had arrived at the studio for a video shoot.
Witnesses tell police an argument erupted between Dunkin and another man. The man produced a weapon and shot Dunkin in the chest. He was pronounced dead at Grady Hospital.
Meadows says the nature of the argument is not known at this time, but they are questioning several individuals that were at the studio when the shooting occurred.
Dunkin is known for his musical collaborations with rappers Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane.
