(Sports Network) - Brandon Marshall will be reunited with Jay Cutler after a
surprise trade Tuesday landed the wide receiver on the Chicago Bears.
The Bears have acquired Marshall from the Miami Dolphins. Terms were not
disclosed, but FoxSports.com and ESPN.com reported that third-round draft
picks in 2012 and '13 will be shipped to Miami.
Marshall and Cutler played their first three seasons together on the Denver
Broncos from 2006-08 before Cutler was shipped to the Bears in an April 2009
trade that also involved fellow quarterback Kyle Orton.
Marshall spent one more season on the Broncos before he was traded to Miami
for draft picks.
The talented but enigmatic wide receiver had 81 catches last season for 1,214
yards and six touchdowns, starting all 16 games for Miami. Marshall once had
three straight 100-catch seasons with Denver and has 494 career receptions for
6,247 yards and 34 touchdowns.
It's unclear where the trade leaves Miami's chances of landing Peyton Manning
without a clear No. 1 wide receiver in place.
