Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Adam Jones drove in two runs, Bill Hall
belted a solo homer in his Baltimore debut and the Orioles posted a 5-3 win
over the Tampa Bay Rays in the second portion of a three-game set at Camden
Yards.
Hall had his contract purchased from Triple-A Norfolk before the game after
the Orioles placed third baseman Mark Reynolds on the 15-day disabled list
with a strained left oblique. The veteran utility player started in left
field and his eighth-inning blast provided insurance for his new team.
Brian Matusz (2-4) gave up three runs -- two earned -- on seven hits in 5 2/3
innings to pick up the win, the third in four games for Baltimore.
Jim Johnson earned his 11th save of the season with a flawless ninth.
Luke Scott knocked in two of Tampa Bay's three runs, while Matt Moore (1-3)
allowed four runs -- one earned -- on four hits and four walks in 4 1/3
innings to absorb the loss.
