Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Dayan Viciedo went 3-for-5 with a home run and
a career-high five RBI to help power the Chicago White Sox to a 14-7 stomping
of the Cleveland Indians.
Paul Konerko went 4-for-4 with two RBI and Alex Rios had three hits, including
a two-run homer in the eighth, and three RBI for the White Sox, winners in
eight of their last nine.
Jake Peavy (6-1) gave up seven runs on six hits and fanned nine over 6 1/3
innings to come away with the win.
Jason Kipnis had a pair of two-run blasts and Michael Brantley drove in three
for the Indians, who have lost two in a row since sweeping the Detroit Tigers
May 22-May 24.
Derek Lowe (6-3) was pegged with the loss after giving up eight runs on 10
hits in just 2 1/3 innings.
