Sunrise, FL (Sports Network) - Sean Bergenheim had two goals to lift the
Florida Panthers to a 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
Jason Garrison, Marcel Goc and Tomas Kopecky each had a goal and an assist for
the Panthers, who have won their past two. Jose Theodore turned aside 26 shots
in the win.
Florida remains a point ahead of Washington, which defeated the Islanders on
Tuesday, for the top spot in the Southeast Division and third overall in the
Eastern Conference. Florida is four points back of Boston -- which lost in
Tampa -- for second in the conference.
Tyler Bozak and Mikhail Grabovski each scored for the Maple Leafs, who have
dropped five straight. James Reimer gave up four goals on 26 shots in the
loss.
